I am new on this list. but the subject of the list capted
my attention and I am here.
to introduce myself: i am from Moldova, the name is
Zugravu Gheorghe, my studies are in the field of Public
Administration, I graduate, looking now for a master for next
year.

Advanced Studies - Study Visits
12-23 May 2006, Villa Decius
Application form (Word-file)
The Advanced Studies program of study visits is addressed to young professionals (students, academics, NGO representatives, teachers, and journalists) from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia (8-10 from each country) who:
1. would like to deepen their knowledge about:
development of democracy and civic society
supporting processes of European and regional integration
promotion of human rights and civil liberties
2. observe and learn about transformations of new democracies
3. start cooperation with their peers and experts from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, as well as from the other EU countries.
The AS visits will take place in the period of 12-23 May 2006 in Krakow .
Deadline for submitting applications is 20 March 2006.
Program
The AS program will include subjects in the field of: economy; society; politics; EU policies and regulations concerning: security, economy, culture, human rights, education, as well as policy towards developing states; macro-regional cooperation in politics, economy and culture; cultural heritage and identity, mass media and its role in the contemporary world.
The program assumes the following forms of implementation: public panel debates, best practice presentations and analyses ( case studies ), lectures, interactive workshops, team work on common position proposals of solutions.
Participants
Students and graduates from the CEE countries representing the following groups and milieus:
academic: students and young academics in the field of: cultural sciences, political sciences,
history, sociology, international relations, economy,
educational: young teachers
civic: leaders of non-governmental organizations and young public administration staff,
mass media: journalists and correspondents
Formal criteria for candidates:
citizenship and residence in one of the following countries: Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, and the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary as well as the other CEE countries,
academic degree or completion of minimum two years of university studies,
good command of English to allow participation in lectures and unconstrained communication,
submission of a curriculum vitae, a motivation letter and minimum 2 letters of reference,
submission of a 3000-3600 word essay on one of the following subjects:
1. "European perspectives for Eastern Europe"
2. "Euro-Atlantic relations".
The applicants are asked to fill in the application form (Word-file)
Costs
The organisers stand:
all lectures, workshops and materials
accommodation and board
special events
transport within Krakow
participation fee, insurance and travel costs of the participants from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova

The participants from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the other CEE countries cover:
travel costs
insurance
participation fee of 30 Euro
