Düsseldorf, 20.07., 13 Uhr: Aktivist_innen des No Border Camps besetzen
das französische Konsulat in Düsseldorf. Im Folgenden eine
englischsprachige Stellungnahme der Besetzer_innen:

In the last seven months there have been three border killings in
Callais, France. The police claims that all three cases where suicides
to avoid further investigation eventhough the circumstances do not fit
this explanation and the friends of the victims clearly do not believe
in it either. Noureddin Mohamed, 28 years old, was found dead in the
Callaisein river. The police has constantly been harrassing (racist
controls, food & sleep depravation, constantly arresting people,
physical violence) people without papers and asylumseekers for years and
the deaths are the peak of this racist machinery. These harrassements
have got worse since the city of Callais was announced to become a
"migrant free zone" before the Olympic Games. In solidarity with those
negatively affected by this racism we occupy the french consulate in
Düsseldorf. We see this action linked to the solidarity actions in
London and Callais and call out for others to show acts of solidarity
and to attack the european border regime.
