* Starmarch Coalition has filed a constitutional complaint
* Organisers stick to their original concept
* The diverse political critique of theG8 shall be made visible

Tomorrow, the Starmarch Coalition will file a constitutional complaint with the
highest juridical authority, the German Federal Court, against the prohibition
of the demonstration around Heiligendamm.

The demonstration ban within a 40km2 area around Heiligendamm had been partially
lifted by the Administrative Court, only to be reinstated by the Higher
Admninistrative Court Greifswald on Thursday.

In the urgent complaint, the organisers will continue to demand their right to
carry out their protest at the place where the addressed event is happening.
?We want our protest to be seen and heard by those who are addressed by it:
The delegates of the G8!? Susanne Spemberg of the Starmarch Coalition
comments.?At the very least, a demonstration with 600 participants should be
allowed to go all the way to the Kempinski Hotel.?

Originally, the Starmarch had been registered with the slogan, ?Take the
protest to Heiligendamm?. However, both courts had granted the prohibition of
demonstrations within the fenced off area.

As a precautionary measure, the organisers have registered substitutive events.
Amongst these are an assembly in Börgerende, themed ?Peace politics and
Antimilitarism?,a demonstration in Kuehlingsborn with the title ?Reclaim
Feminism? and a demonstration from Bad Doberan via Bollhagen to the B105
road, titled, ?Protest cannot be prohibited?.

The original political conception of the Starmarch is to remain visible, Susanne
Spemberg adds, ?Thousands will be present during the Summit, they have
travelledfrom afar to take their protest to the delegates.?

At a press conference on Thursday morning the Starmarch coalition will provide
information about the most recent developments and the ?thematic rays?of
the star. International guests as well as representatives of the different
protest routes will elaborate their criticism of the G8.
